Players' Choice Poll Winners

Post by Gabe on Sat 11 Jul 2009 - 23:47

Just so that we know who we can and can't nominate for Players' Choice, I thought it'd be nice to have a list of who has already won and when. I'll try to keep it current as we go. I have to credit Dan's post about where characters are for this idea. :) Jill, let me know if I've gotten any of these wrong, please (or just edit it for me if you like).

2008
July: Shapurnippal (Tristan)
August: Keth (Dan)
September: Gabe (Alan)
October: Shay (Anna)
November: Lockwood (Vince)
December: Jordan (Mike)

2009
January: Heel (Paul)
February: Leiliel (Janice), Gabe (Alan), Rebecca (Jenn)
March: Shay (Anna)
April: Rebecca (Jenn)
May: Gabe (Alan), Eliel (Dave), Adam (Rich)
June: Shay (Anna), Cat (Ayla), Lockwood (Vince)
July: Shamus (Joey)
August: Love (Rhea), Bal (Wade), The Servant (Cory)
September: Tim (Warren), Dorian (Matt), The Anointed One (Tyler), Adam (Rich), Malicia (Laura)
October: Rebecca (Jenn), Shamus (Joey)

God bless people with more organisational skills than I have.

Or, you know, Whatever bless...or...um...Be Blessed, people with more organisational skills than I have.

Updated early, but there seems to be someone clearly ahead of the others! And yes, otherwise I will forget. It's one of those weeks.

Okay everyone, remember to get the storyteller your players' choice nominations by... um, by... that day whereupon they need to be in! Remember that the nominations need their own missive and are not to be lumped in with other topics, i.e., turns!

(A little help here for a date, Jill?) (No, not that kind of date, the other date.) (Okay, not that date, either. I meant the day of the month sort. Sheesh!) ::grin::

I personally would like to nominate the Wonder Twins! That's right! One takes on the form of deceptive honesty and the other the form of ambitious apoliticality. Give a hand to Eliel and Adam! Woo! I normally would only nominate one person and then vote for him/her, but the way the Wonder Twins played off one another at the last game was amazing and I don't think it would have happened without them both being there, nor can I say that one did a better job than the other. ::grin::

(Jill, will this function in place of the email or would you like one of those as well?)

Erm. It's probably better to *also* have an email, since I will forget to look here.

Tomorrow by 10pm (general rule of thumb - one week after game)

Although, both of them have won within the three month period. As did, I just realized, the two people I had nominated. I better get my butt in gear and nominate the third person I was planning on nominating.

I guess it depends on how you view three months. I saw it as only being able to be nominated on the third month, not having to have three months between nominations.

It is quite possible that I'm wrong. If I am wrong then I would, of course, withdraw said nominations from the poll but allow my post to stand as a testament to some great larping.

I read Wonder Twins and now I wanna get special rings for me and Dave, and every so often at the game we'll shout out what we'll change into... like 'Form of a Divine Diestical!' *laughs*

"Hey Herc...Hey Herc!!!!!"

no? too soon? maybe we'll wait till they get the rings before I start using Hercules references.

One ring to rule them all.

Joey then decides that he is a failure at life for that last comment and cuts off his own arm.

Dude, the most difficult thing is deciding which is Herc and which is that creepy goat-footed satyr wannabe-Pan guy with no genitals.

Where is the September players' choice poll? I wasn't at the game, but I've heard that there was good role-playing.

Why wasn't there a vote? And if there wasn't a vote because Jill forgot again, how come not everyone who was nominated got it?

As I understand it, these are the people whose nominations were a) remembered in the Great Email Loss of 2009 and b) eligible.

J. can clarify if I'm wrong.

*ahem*

Jill did not "forget again". Jill had another poll to put up that she figured was More Important (namely, figuring out when the December game should be held).

Jill did, however, manage to baleet 500 emails at around the same time her computer went "ddzzztttt", and so she lost all of the nominations. Jill remembered the majority of folks who were nominated, although some may have been missed, which is unfortunate. Some were not eligible for nomination as they had won in the last three months.
