People Who Are Awesome

Post by Elleka on Wed 15 Apr 2009 - 16:41

I thought it might be nice to have a line of posts praising great things great people do. So, here is the first:
-
Jill you are awesome. I know it is diffecult to run games with this many people/personalities and I want you to know you are appriciated. So, generally, you cock and you run a great game Very Happy

This is a great idea.

For the guy who sang his heart out to what he must have thought was an empty hallway. Now that's role-playing. (You know who you are. And you're a good singer!)

All righty, I shall pay it forward.

BEHOLD, THE SENTINEL

Matt, you not only made my night at the game, but Daniel and I have been randomly announcing this to one another at the office since March's game. We have also decided to make that the sound that our alarm makes instead of the annoying beeping.

Larry.
Larry played the Devil.
Quote of the night for me was: "FINE. You guys go ahead and let him go. Do whatever you need to do. But when he screws up again and doesn't listen and comes back and starts terrorising people again, I'm not going to help you."

Quote of the night for me was: "That's okay. I don't need to touch you to make this work."

EDIT: For the many people who missed this, Arc pretended to go along with the devil a few times, only to reach out to shake hands or some such, and attempt a banishment. Each time prompting a round of blows from Mihr and I and anybody else who was close enough. It kept not working, and eventually Arc (to Lockwood's horror) seemed to come to the conclusion that the devil was unkillable, and the only decent thing to do would be to accept his proffered truce. But the devil wouldn't shake his hand - he'd learned his lesson, I guess. That's when Arc uttered the above line - paused for just long enough for me to think he meant make the *pact* work - and looked him hard in the eye, turning him into an ordinary Fallen.

Hi folks, Larry here.
Last night was pure awesomesauce, to all who participated whether I knew you from before, or just met for the first time. Twisted Evil I only wish I could continue doing the NPC thing, as its a helluva good time, but sadly, I have to settle for something a bit more mundane Wink
Jill and Mike M have been trying since Jill's vampire LARP ended, to get me to come out. Unfortunately, due to real life and too many conflicting committments, gaming had taken a back seat since about August of last year. This year is looking better, and yes I'll be creating "something" for this game. Likely a lot more low key...I had to throw in about 6 months of RP antics into a two hour session heheh. That, and I don't want you all to think that I just play loonies all the time (but it IS more fun).
Thanks everyone for staying in character and playing along. Havn't had this much fun in an improv setting since the time I got two RCMP cadets to lose their cool and try to gang tackle me during their training Smile Looking forward to sharing the "stage" with you again.

In an effort to continue the priase to people who really really deserve it.

I think basically everyone was awesome at the last game. Its hard to narrow down entirely. But im thinking gabe trying to push keth around.. yeah that made the night for me ^.^ There are many more events that were amazing to me. But thats the one that sticks out.

Feel lucky that Gabe didn't pull out his chosen weapon; Keth would have been in real trouble then. :)

I must say that the three conversations with Keth were the combined highlight of my night. It's not often Gabe gets to tell another Fallen that he hopes the Fallen's puberty comes along soon. That was so much fun. Oh the brooding angst! The angst! Pfft! :)

I'd also like to thank everyone who pulled on their characters early in the evening without being cajoled and bullied into it. An early start is always a good thing.

Hmm.. i am debating simply starting a forum simply to point out the obvious on a regular basis. Our Benevolent Dictator Story Guide is frelling awesome.

hell you are all awesome. Jill gets a special mention for putting it all together but.. wow, last game was 'epic' in a large part due to everyone there.

To use a phrase picked up from this fine group: "You all cock"

Haven't you guessed it yet, Jill? I'm avoiding all of your plot wrap-ups so that they have a chance to succeed. After all, you and some of the other players need to feel a modicum of control from time to time. To let you have a great night I'm willing to sacrifice not being able to play. I'm such a giving fellow.

In the people who are awesome category: Everyone who can have fun, challenging, and intense in-character rivalries but not let it spill over out of character. It's sometimes hard to do that but Providence seems like it is filled with players awesome enough to pull it off.

Wow.. looking through the old posts I found something on in character rivalries(kinda), and because of it I have to say again that Jill and Sacha are awesome.

Remember when we first heard of the bear, Cheriour and Sophiel really seemed to enjoy tearing stips out of each other.. It was.. awesome ^.^

I know that I won't have the opportunity to play with Sophiel with this character, but I've heard a lot of Cherior and from his old Divine forum posts he seems like he'd be a lot of fun to bounce off of!

Please come back!

Cheriour was awesome. I am totally behind a petition to have Cheriour return...good christ, that would be fantastic if he were to show up...

You know, I didn't submit a name for players' choice this month. I wanted to, but last game there were so many people who were such an amazing and integral part of my night that it felt wrong to only be able to reward one person. For that same reason I doubt that I'll vote this month. If I interacted with you at all at the last game, thank-you. If I yelled at you, threatened you, or tried to have you killed, double thanks. :)

Admittedly, if Tim (Warren) hadn't been recognized last month, I'd have put him up this month; after all, it's not every day a crazy person (Friedrich) calls you his guardian angel and latches on to you for dear life, not letting you out of his sight. :)

Oh, and a special thanks to... Tyg?... for the "invisible flying horses".
