A Big Thank You
Alan was kind enough to offer to audit my Zeal spreadsheet, to make sure that everything was working properly (it wasn't). He then compiled a new spreadsheet (or three, each with different ways of tracking lapsed characters/players who've left the game. Important, because if those folks come back, they'll need to know how much Zeal they had, or how much crossover Zeal they may have earned). I am extremely thankful that Alan has had the time and has put the effort in to doing this.
In that vein, I post this for him. As a personal gift.

Re: A Big Thank You
I still own almost all of the Smurfs albums on vinyl. And two of the Muppets albums on vinyl. And a rare special edition Sex Pistols vinyl with the band's picture on the record.

Re: A Big Thank You
I HAD all the Smurf albums. Sadly they melted in the garage. Not sure if it was just the regular summer heat, or if it was related to a fire...it was a couple of decades ago.
You just don't hear quality music like "Pink Toothbrush" anymore

Re: A Big Thank You
I own a melted version too. The secret is to own TWO of all important smurf albums.

Re: A Big Thank You
I'm very jealous. I only have one Smurf cassette. Luckily it does have the Pink Toothbrush song. But to have other albums as well... I can only imagine.

Re: A Big Thank You
I have the Smurfs AND Men At Work AND Kenny Rogers. Well. I don't have
Kenny Rogers *anymore*. But I do have a bunch of stuff on vinyl still -
Cat Stevens, Buddy Holly (original 45s from the 1950s), Glenn Millar
Orchestra, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, Abba, and, of
course, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (thank you, Grandma. I wasn't even
interested in this when I was eight, but whatever. It's the thought
that counts).
And, since y'all were wondering, here it is, the song that made Alan and I bond for the very first time (apologies for the video. I did not make it):
Youre a Pink Toothbrush - The Smurfs

Re: A Big Thank You
I'm not sure how to feel about being able to sing along without mistakes to the toothbrush song. Still, anything that lets you bond has to be good. Like glue. I like glue.
I do feel that the creator should be hanged by his dominant hand for "Your a Pink Toothbrush".

Re: A Big Thank You
Is it just me or does the 'Smurfing Beer' song not sound an awful lot like Dolly Parton starts singing at about the two minute mark...and come to think of it, 'Pink Toothbrush' could be the B-side to 'Islands in the Stream'.
Sorry about that...I had to share my misery.
And no, I'm not a big fan of '70's country. In fact, I'm a little ashamed that the former thoughts came over me.
~shudder~
